Denunciation — Sudan

Tribunal Denunciation No. 2026-D-002
Issued Orthen, Ignis 22 • Anno Covenant II
(10 April 2026)

Finding

Since April 2023, the war between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces has produced what the United Nations itself has called one of the worst humanitarian disasters on earth.

Tens of thousands have been killed. Over ten million people have been displaced — the largest displacement crisis in the world. Entire regions have been subjected to ethnically targeted massacres, the deliberate burning of villages, and mass sexual violence used as a weapon of territorial control.

In Darfur, the word genocide is not new. It was spoken twenty years ago and the world said "never again." It is happening again. In the same places. To the same people. With the same impunity.

The Record

The city of El Geneina was effectively destroyed in 2023 — its non-Arab population massacred, expelled, or hunted through the streets. Mass graves have been documented by satellite. Survivors describe executions at checkpoints based on ethnicity.

Humanitarian access has been systematically obstructed by both sides. Aid workers have been attacked. Hospitals have been occupied or destroyed. Famine conditions have been declared in multiple regions.

The world has issued statements. The killing has not stopped.

What the Covenant Declares

We denounce the Rapid Support Forces and their leadership for the systematic targeting of civilian populations based on ethnicity, and for the use of sexual violence as an instrument of war.

We denounce the Sudanese Armed Forces for indiscriminate bombardment of civilian areas and the obstruction of humanitarian aid.

We denounce the international community for treating the destruction of Sudan as a secondary concern — a crisis too complicated, too remote, and too inconvenient to address with the urgency it demands.

The people of Sudan are not a footnote. Their lives are not less valuable because their suffering receives less coverage.

We see you. Your dead are not unnamed to us.
