FieldSeal is a camera. Tap the shutter and, entirely on your phone with no network, it captures the photo, reads your GPS location, and signs both — location and time — with a key that lives only on your device. You see Sealed ✓ instantly. Later, when you're online, the seal is independently witnessed and timestamped by the GeoSeal ledger and flips to Witnessed ✓. The photo itself never leaves your phone — only a fingerprint of it does.
How to install
- Tap Download for Android above (on the phone you'll use it on).
- Open the downloaded
FieldSeal-v0.1.6.apk. - Android will ask permission to install from this source — allow it for your browser, then tap Install.
- Open FieldSeal and grant Camera and Location when asked. That's it.
What it proves — and what it doesn't
✓ This exact image existed at a time and place, signed by this device.
✗ It does not prove your real-world identity — the default is anonymous (it proves the same device made your seals, not who you are). You can pair a Soteria membership later to attach identity to the same key.
✗ It does not prove the camera wasn't shown a fabricated image — hardware attestation is a future upgrade. Each verification page states this plainly.
